Music has been a lifelong pursuit for more than 40 years, and a career in education spanning over two decades has reinforced a simple belief: complex ideas become easier to understand when they are organized into practical, accessible systems.
That perspective eventually led to the Hybrid Guitar Co. Big 6 (HGB6), an instrument that challenges many of the assumptions we make about guitars, basses, and the way music is traditionally approached. What began as a search for better ways to navigate the instrument evolved into an ongoing effort to document chord systems, scale patterns, chart formats, tuning concepts, and practical applications that can help other musicians shorten the learning curve.
Dragon Jamz exists to share those discoveries and contribute to the growing body of knowledge surrounding the HGB6.
The Hybrid Guitar occupies a unique space beyond the traditional guitar and bass. When I first picked one up, I assumed it could be approached like either instrument. It quickly became clear that it needed to be understood on its own terms.
Because there are few instructional resources available for Hybrid Guitar players, much of the instrument’s potential remains unexplored. Dragon Jamz was created to help document that journey.
